Now let’s configure Direct to Film pricing—whether you produce DTF in-house or rely on a production partner.
In Settings, turn on Direct to Film, then open the Direct to Film section.
Begin with your DTF vendor.
Add the company name and contact information you want carried onto DTF Purchase Orders.
The tool begins with JDC as the default production vendor, but you can replace that information with any supplier you use.
These details remain internal and do not appear on customer Quotes or Invoices.
Next, build your Direct to Film Tiers.
Each row begins with a minimum quantity. The tool selects the highest minimum the job qualifies for.
That means the lowest tier also establishes your minimum DTF order quantity. If you do not require a minimum, begin the first tier at one piece.
Enter your per-piece production cost for the First Location.
Then enter the per-piece cost for Each Additional Location.
For example, a shirt with a front, back, and sleeve uses the first-location price once—and the additional-location price twice.
Unlike Screen Printing, DTF pricing does not depend on the number of colors in the artwork.
If Direct to Film is your only enabled production method, the table also includes Quote Markup and Shipping Cost per Piece.
The markup follows the calculation selected under Apparel and Print Pricing Defaults—either dollars per piece or a percentage of the DTF print cost.
That allows the same tier to calculate both your production cost and the customer’s decoration price.
When Screen Printing and DTF are both enabled, those customer-pricing columns are hidden.
In comparison mode, the DTF tiers model your actual DTF production cost, while the Screen Print selling schedule will keep the customer Quote consistent.
The tool can then choose the better production method without changing the price already presented to the customer.
Use Add Tier as your quantity pricing changes, then select Save Settings.
Once your DTF schedule is built, every job can calculate the correct production cost from its quantity and number of print locations.
